BALLOT GOING OUT

At the general membership meeting on Tuesday, it was agreed that ballots will be mailed to all shareholders so they may vote on the proposal to resurface the road.
Ballots are expected to go out during the first week of April and will be due back within two weeks.
The Board of Directors recommends acceptance of the proposal to resurface the road at a cost of about $24,000.
There is to be NO special assessment. Members will see NO increase in maintenance fees as a result of the project.
Details of the payment plan will be included in the mailing.

DONATE YOUR OLD COMPUTER

Have an old computer you intend to replace?

Why not donate the old one to VSHOA? We could use it

in the clubhouse.

It would be for the use of all members and occasionally for association business.

Members could read our newsletter on line.

We can hook it up to our little-used printer.

There may be some tax advantage for you if you donate a computer to our non-profit corporation. But check with your tax advisor on that.

BRIDGE CLOSING PARTY

The Lantana Bridge Closing Party will get underway at noon Sunday (March 18) on Ocean Boulevard in Bicentennial Park and Sportsman’s Park boat-launching area.

The town of Lantana is putting on the party to mark the closing of the old bridge. A parade will begin lead off events.

A new bridge is to be constructed and is expected to be opened in about two years.

View Street residents are invited to the party that lasts until about 5 p.m. Food will be provided by local restaurants for Sunday’s festivities.

During the months that the bridge to Lantana Beach and Highway A1A is inoperable, View Streeters may choose to cross over to the barrier islands on Lake Worth Avenue bridge to our north.

During the party Sunday, downtown parking will be limited. View Street residents might choose to walk to the festivities.

Beach Bridge to Close

The Lantana Bridge that indirectly connects View Street with the beach will be closed on March 19 for about a year and a half. A new bridge is to be constructed to replace the old structure that was completed in 1950.

The Town of Lantana will throw a Demolition Party on March 18 to mark the closing. The party will be in Bicentennial Park on the west end of the bridge. The celebration will include a parade that begins at 2 p.m.

To reach the beach, most View Streeters will probably chose to use the Lake Worth Bridge to the north.
