MORE NEWS FROM THE TOWN

In case you haven't heard, long-time Lantana Town Manager Michael Bornstein has resigned and has been replaced by Deborah Manzo.

In other news from the Town, Sean Scheller was sworn in as Lantana's Chief of Police.

Manzo is a native of West Virginia and has been working in community government since 1985. She has worked in Greenacres and Juno Beach. She holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in Public Administration.

Chief Scheller is an 18-year veteran of law enforcement in the Town. He holds a degree in criminal justice from Florida State University.

He is originally from Clearwater. He moved here in 1995 and went to work as a patrol officer on the Lantana force. Later, he signed on with the detective bureau.

Scheller stresses the importance of the Citizens on Patrol volunteer unit. He is hoping for more COPs. Any Viewstreeters who have the time and the inclination might contact the police department about helping out with the COP.
